Bio Recognition Systems Pty Ltd and123ID sign a Distribution, Licensing and Technology Sharing Agreement
Sydney, NSW Australia, February 1st, 2006 — Australia’s leading fingerprint recognition biometrics manufacturer – Bio Recognition Systems Pty Ltd, is pleased to announce that they have entered into a distribution, licensing & technology sharing agreement with 123ID of Minnesota that will see Bio Recognition Systems’ full hardware and software range enhanced by the incorporation of 123ID’s proprietary Code Vector Technology (CVT) biometric matching algorithm.
This alliance between two innovative development companies will result in novel fingerprint biometric product offerings. Bio Recognition Systems will then be positioned for rapid penetration into global government and large-corporate markets for which identifying and matching fingerprint records from many tens of thousands of persons is required.
123ID will as a result of the agreement be able to offer its customers world-class biometrics hardware incorporating its CVT algorithm at affordable pricing that enables growth in market share in the hyper-growth biometrics markets in North and South America.
123ID will additionally offer a hardware sales, support and local support presence in the USA and will also act as a licensed reseller and distributor of the combined 123ID/Bio Recognition Systems product range thorough the Americas.
The two companies complement each other as world class software and hardware developers in their respective fields. The integration of the 123ID Code Vector Technology will equip Bio Recognition Systems products BioScan™ and BioLock™ with 1:1 and 1:Many matching capability in both standalone and Windows PC supported platforms. In standalone configuration both product families do not require any PC connection, whilst the Windows PC platform will offer the ability of handling large fingerprint databases with an exceptional degree of accuracy.
