Three New Sensors Integrated with 123ID Technology

East Grand Forks, MN, September 15, 2005 —123ID, Inc. a leading biometric software developer of matching technology is pleased to announce its ongoing expansion of the list of interoperable sensors to enroll, authenticate, and verify fingerprints. The interoperability of 123ID matching Code Vector Technology, allows the user to switch hardware among any of the supported sensors without re-enrolling the user’s fingerprints. Fingerprint templates created with captured images from one manufacturer’s sensor can be recognized and used to match and verify fingerprints with different manufacturers’ sensors. Interoperability is a feature of CVTSDK Software Developer Kit, OmniPass by Softex with 123UMS (Universal Matching System by 123ID), SIDE Access Control, ASYS Cluster Large Scale Matching Service and any embedded 123ID product utilizing 123ID technology.

The most recently integrated fingerprint sensors/readers supported by 123ID are:
AuthenTec EntrePad® AES 2501 slide sensor that captures a fingerprint by swiping the finger over a narrow window. The motion of the finger over the sensor allows the capture of the complete fingerprint rather than relying upon stationary finger placement.
SecuGen® Hamster III and OptiMouse III, an optical sensor packaged in an ergonomic design for natural consistent fingerprint placement. The OptiMouse III combines the functions of a mouse and sensor with the sensor built into the side of the unit for a simplified hardware option.
silex america technology FIC-200 (Fujitsu) PC Card (PCMCIA) finger reader with a pop-out sensor, ideal for laptops.

Previously integrated fingerprint sensors/readers supported by 123ID are:
DigitalPersona U.are.U 4000 products with optical fingerprint scanning technology for superior image quality and product reliability
Ethenticator MS 3000 from Ethentica a PC Card (PCMCIA) type fingerprint reader with a pop-out sensor ideal for laptop PCs and PDAs.
Silex america technology FUS-200N (Fujitsu) a USB capacitor type silicon sensor
UPEK’s Fingerprint and Combo USB Readers TCRU and TCRB, highly accurate, reliable, and cost-effective fingerprint authentication peripherals.
Cross Match Technologies V300 Series intended for high-quality, live single-finger imaging applications.
BioPod AES 3500 a low cost, convenient USB touch sensor with AuthenTec TruePrint Sensor Technology
The EntréPad® AES4000 is AuthenTec’s low-power, mid-sized USB touch sensor that uses reliable 0.6µ CMOS technology
The MBF200 by Tacoma Technology (Fujitsu) is a high quality chip based, desktop USB sensor with 500 dpi image resolution and large image capture window.

Interoperability is a patent pending intellectual property of 123ID, Inc. For more information contact info@123id.us.
